Somebody's stolen my daughter.

For whatever reason, when some of our kids turn 13 years old, it appears as though somebody has taken our son or daughter and put somebody else in their place. Some get cocky, argumentative, and rude. A mom to a preteen says, we need to remind our kids that we are the parents. We need to teach them responsibility and that they're an example to their younger siblings. Hear, hear! How do we do it? Suggestion: lovingly discipline to fit the crime—it's always a wake-up call. Giving them chores to do daily teaches responsibility. And privately and lovingly point out mimicked bad behavior to the offending child. 1 Timothy 4:12 teaches to be an example in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity—which can point your family to Christ.
